What to expect: The hotel stands across the street from Aspen Mountain and the Silver Queen Gondola. Spanning one block, the property occupies two buildings (the four-story “studio” building, and three-floor “two-bedroom” building). Housing 200 furnished condominiums and offering quick access to most of Aspen’s attractions, the hotel appeals to both couples and families. Amenity highlights: The lobby has a stone fireplace, and is decorated with area rugs, a sled coffee table, antler chandelier, floral sofas/chairs, and photos of Aspen. There is also a fitness center, outdoor heated pool and spa tub. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available as well (in designated/separate room). Insider tip: Temporary memberships are available to the 77,000-square-foot Aspen Club and Spa, located one mile from the hotel. The facility—the only full-service spa in the Roaring Fork Valley—features a complete health/fitness club, salon, and sports-specific training at the Sports Medicine Institute. Indoor ski and snowboarding lessons are offered, in addition to “relaxation lounges,” and the Club Café.

A fitness center is equipped with stationary bicycles, elliptical trainers, stair steppers, treadmills, weight machines, free weights, and men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers. Also onsite, an 1,100 square foot conference room accommodates up to 50 people for meetings, and more for receptions and parties. Complimentary services include high-speed Internet access, word-processing and printing (in a computer room that includes a printer). Also available (fees apply): business services such as copying, faxing and Federal Express shipping. Same-day laundry and dry cleaning services are offered as well, and coin-operated washing machines and dryers are located on each floor. Several shops are located within the hotel building, including Bulgari, Little Bear Antiques, Performance Ski, Pomeroy Sports, Le Tub, Thomas Kinkade Gallery, Keiselstein-Cord (leather goods), Nuages (fashion clothes), Short Sports (children’s sports gear), Scandinavian Design (clothing), and The Freudian Slip (clothing/lingerie). There are two complimentary parking lots; one is underground.

Among them: the Aspen Golf and Tennis Club, indoor climbing and fitness and wellness classes at the Red Brick Gym, skateboarding at the Aspen Skate Park, ice skating at the Aspen Ice Garden, volleyball courts at Koch Park, and swimming at the Aspen Recreation Center (ARC), which also features a water slide and National Hockey League regulation ice rink. Nearby greens include the Aspen Golf Club, approximately four miles from the hotel; the Snowmass Golf Club, eight miles away; and the River Valley Ranch Golf Club, 30 miles away.
