39 Degrees - Rough-hewn timber and custom-designed, modern furniture characterizes this restaurant. The centerpiece is a wavy, 360-degree "landscape" sofa, and, on the wall over the stone fireplace, an ever-changing series of outdoor images. This is one of Aspen's hottest nightspots. A large, pivoting door leads to the radiant-heated sundeck with views of Aspen Mountain. On the menu are stylish drinks such as the Gold Digger and Botox martinis. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks.

AMENITIES & SERVICES
|
What to expect: With snappy decor and a stylish attitude—the bar serves martinis named Gold Digger and Botox—this slope-side hotel is catnip to the crowd that comes to Aspen to ski, party, and see and be seen. The wonderland lobby is filled with 8-foot-tall, cream-colored leather chairs; lighted aspen trees; a long table strewn with board games; a wall of rock; and a soundtrack of funk and soul. Amenity highlights: Party people sip martinis in 39 Degrees, a lounge decorated with a bold mix of leather, tweed, mohair, and sporty fabrics; custom-designed modern furniture; and a long stone fireplace. It's a popular spot for après-ski and après-swim, thanks to the doors that lead to the radiant-heated outdoor deck with a swimming pool, spa, and mountain views. Skiers enjoy ski-in access, plus boot dryers and rental and storage at the on-site sports shop. Insider tip: At 8,100 feet, Aspen's altitude can be tough for those who aren't used to the air, which is thinner than at sea level. To acclimate to the high altitude, guests are advised to drink lots of water to avoid dehydration, dress in layers, and use a strong sunblock even if the sky is overcast.
